About me

My name is Paweł Osiński and I am an attorney. I run a practice specializing in two areas: business law and business criminal law.

Business law is a set of regulations governing organized activities aimed at generating income. Business criminal law, on the other hand, is a set of criminal provisions designed to prevent and combat undesirable and harmful phenomena (from society’s perspective) that may arise in business activities. In essence, these are legal fields closely connected with each other.

It is impossible to maintain a legal practice focused on business law without knowledge of criminal provisions that define a kind of 'red line’—the boundary of permissible, socially acceptable business activity. And vice versa. It is impossible to correctly interpret and apply business criminal law provisions without understanding how business activity itself is regulated. And more importantly, without knowledge of what the practice and everyday reality of such activity looks like.

I have been involved in business law for over 15 years, so I have had the opportunity to learn the behind-the-scenes realities of conducting business in Poland and to witness the changes this area of law has undergone in Poland. As part of my legal practice, I have dealt with capital market services, corporate services, international tax law and tax planning. I have established and serviced companies and foundations abroad for Polish entrepreneurs.

These experiences are extremely important now in cases involving business crimes or official misconduct that I handle for my clients. Because it is impossible to represent clients in such proceedings without understanding the realities of business processes and without knowledge of the legal environment and the process by which investors or entrepreneurs make business decisions.
